2007 FAMILY VACATION

Everyone is still sleeping right now. Coffe is brewing. I typing from our balcony on the sixth floor of our time share. When we left Bradenton on Monday I only had the boys pack for two days because I didn't think we would want to stay here. Boy... was I wrong. We all are a little teary-eyed having to pack up and leave today. It's been real nice here. The accomodations have been great, there's lots to do. In fact, yesterday we bought some steaks and chicken at Publix and I cooked them on one of the grills provided. Derek played basketball in the courts that are provided. When he's not playing basketball, he's at one of the pools.
Reality is really setting in. Not sure how many more family vacation we will take with all three boys with us. Until then, I'm gunna keep insisting that we do this as often as possible.... Keep checking back with us, we still have a couple more days left. [ Here are the latest photos ]

Sorry about the delay in getting the new posts. The weather has improved and we've been busy playing in the sun. We just got back from Downtown Disney. It's pretty cool, there. Lot's of shops and resturaunts (if youare in to that sort of thing). They have a section called "Pleasure Island" with dozens of night clubs and bars. Also have another section called "Marketplace". Bet you can guess what that's about. Woke up Wednesday and did the "Timeshare" presentation. Didn't buy, but thinking about it. Marriott has a great program and we love this property. Did a lot of swimming. Went out for Japanese food. Spent way too much money. Anyway... it's late and I'm tired. We need to be out of here by 10AM Friday. Heading back to Bradenton for the weekend. Will leave for Ohio on Sunday around 5:00AM.

Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain... get the picture? It's raining. That's OK, we are having a ball. Our accommodation are World Class as you can see for the pics below. Today we woke early and headed to Publix for some breakfast stuffs. Had our coffee on the screened porch. Of course we have wireless high-speed internet throughout the property so I'm working as we play. Today we did a self tour of the property in the day-light. Scoped out the other pool and water-slides. Spent some time in the game room and Dustin & Patricia played "Peanuts". Checked out the exercise room. Derek and Patricia played checkers in the lobby while Dustin and David played the piano.
We got back to the room around 2:45PM and ordered some Chinese food. The room has a wide screen TV and DVD player. We are watching Ion Flux while waiting on the food. Would have headed to the pool, but it was raining and we didn't want to get wet. Duhhh. Last night we went for a dip around 10:00PM. It wasn't raining but the temp was cool. Water was chilly so Patricia and I hung out in the hot tub.
We have a "sales presentation" to sit through tomorrow morning at 10:00AM. It' only supposed to be 90 minutes. Lemme tell you.... this is the way to vacation. These accommodations have everything you need to live for a week. All you have to do is stock the frig. Everything else is already here. Gunna run... more later. GO TO NEW PHOTOS

What a full day... it's late and I'm only gunna write a little bit. First.. I loaded a bunch of new pics. Click here to see today's photos of the beach. The tropical storm was passing by. Check out the waves. Cleared up a little and the sun poked through.
We drove to Orlando around 9:00PM. Staying in a Marriott property. Check out the room. The boys are in love with this place. Lot's of room.

Getting a slow start to the day. Overnight the tropical storm began coming through. Some wind and a lot of rain. Nothing too scary. We'll be heading over to Orlando some time this afternoon. Will post more later. Keep checking back.

Trying to get everyone motivated to leave for the beach. Dave, Dustin and Derek have been playing video games all morning. Had breakfast and I've been working. Tropical storm on the way.

Wow.... just got back from the beach [ see pics below ]
This is what the "bands" look like as a hurricane or tropical storm look like. Here are a few pics while it was still nice. As we stayed out in the water is really go rough and the rain started beating down. It was a blast to swim in. Lot's of guys and girls out on surf boards. We were talking to some locals and it seems that the surfers drive over from the east coast when these storms hit the west coast. Right now it is partly cloudy. Patricia and Derek are heading to the pool.

Hello Family & Friends...
This is our Family Blog of our 2006 Vacation to Florida. Today is June 10, 2006. We left Ohio yesterday at 5:00AM and headed south. Arrived in Bradenton at 11:00PM. Everyone was tired and ready to hit the sack. That's why we didn't wake until 10:00.
Headed over to the Red Barn Flea Market for a hour or so. Didn't know at the time that a tropical storm was headed our way. Looks like she's gunna make landfall late Sunday, early Monday. After the Red Barn, we headed to Capalbos Pizza. Our favorite waitress took care of us. She has family that lives back in Ohio. We came back to the house and rested a while before we went out to the beach.
Got to the beach around 5:30PM after we stopped at Walmart to buy me a bathing suit. Got a floral pattern.. looks sexy! The water was ruff and the wind was blowing. Some rain was coming down too. Things quickly cleared up and we had a great time. Left to go back but decided to head over to Holmes Beach for a drive. Ended up spending a few hours and watched the sun set. Take a look at the below pics....
